Computer controlled numbering head

The computer-controlled numbering head enables the wheels to be set automatically via an interface to the computer system. It is therefore particularly suitable for autonomous use in production plants.

Application:
The computer-controlled numbering heads are suitable for embossing flat material surfaces using the stroke embossing method or the roll-off method. Examples of embossing are: Logos, numbers, letter combinations, markings with special characters, markings, etc. This numbering heads can be used for all types of roll-off and power presses. The tools are available in hot stamping design and can be configured according to your requirements.

Fully automatic switching numbering unit with pneumatic switching cylinder, prepared for electronic control.

Optionally available:

  • Digit height: 1.0 to 13 mm
  • Number of digits: 1 to 50 digits
  • Engravings: (number 10) standard 0 – 9, others on request

Engraving variants and fonts:

  • sharp for metal embossing
  • small area for colour embossing
  • large area for hot stamping
  • rounded to minimise notch effect
  • dot engraving for lower embossing force
  • Digital engraving for reworking faulty embossings

Special bearing:
To minimise wheel sticking when dirty or oily, wheels can be optionally fitted with a special bearing.

Coatings:
The embossing wheels can be coated with TIN, TIC, TIN/TIC or non-stick.

Advantages:

  • selective individual wheel control is guaranteed
  • adjustment of the entire character set with 11-piece wheels in less than 5 seconds
  • each wheel shift is monitored, faulty shifts are registered
  • the zero position is scanned separately as a reference position
  • the press stroke is registered, switching of the wheels in crash position is prevented
  • the switching of the crank is monitored, the process can be calibrated
