Mechanical engineering
In mechanical engineering, components are marked with logos or part numbers to clearly identify them. Due to different shapes and materials, flexible and reliable marking systems are required that can economically cover both series production and individual parts.
Aerospace engineering
Components in the aerospace industry must be clearly marked without damaging the surface. At the same time, the marking must remain permanently legible. With the right marking procedure, both requirements can be reliably met.
Metallurgical industry
Raw materials in metal production must be clearly marked to reliably distinguish between alloys and batches. The marking must be legible and process-reliable. Depending on the production process, manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic marking solutions are used.
Automotive
Vehicle components must be clearly marked to ensure reliable traceability. Since different materials and geometries are used, the marking system must be adapted accordingly. In series production, integrated marking machines are therefore usually used, as they work quickly, reliably and with high process reliability.
Food industry
Food packaging must be clearly marked for consumers so that the batch number and best-before date are clearly visible. Various marking procedures are available for this purpose, with the choice depending on the material and production speed. Embossing with steel types is still considered a particularly simple and proven method because it is robust and cost-effective. For higher cycle rates, however, inkjet or laser systems are more suitable as they produce clean and legible markings even at high speeds.
