Roll type holder for lathes

With the roll type holder with spring return for CNC lathes, round workpieces can be marked on the circumference directly on the machine.

Problem and solution:

The marking of turned parts with article numbers, company names, material qualities, batch numbers, manufacturing data, etc. is required primarily with regard to product liability. With Röltgen precision tools, workpieces on lathes or machining centres can be marked in a few seconds during machining.

The advantages:

• workpieces come out of the lathe ready marked
• mix-ups are largely eliminated
• external marking by stamping machines or hand stamps is no longer necessary. This means significant time and cost savings
• thanks to the roll-off type holder we use, the desired inscriptions can be individually assembled at any time by exchanging individual letters, numbers, logos and block types. This means more flexibility.

How it works:

• for the inscription, the desired text is only unrolled once
• overwriting of the text is therefore impossible
• immediately after the inscription, the unwind type holder or unwind embossing die turns back to the starting position (0-point) and is ready for the next inscription
• due to the relatively short unwinding movement, workpieces with different diameters and the same marking can be marked with only one embossing roller. Previously, a separate embossing roller was required for each workpiece diameter
