Industrial steel types for embossing – precise, hardened and available immediately
On this page, you will find the Röltgen standard steel types with all relevant information on body dimensions, font heights and storage options. The embossing types are designed for industrial use and impress with their high precision and long service life.
The steel types shown are compatible with all type holders in group 1300 (side clamping) and group 1310 (holding pin). Nevertheless, we recommend that you always select the exact type size when ordering in order to achieve optimum embossing results.
Characters available from stock
The following versions are usually available for immediate delivery:
- Capital letters
- Numbers
- Punctuation .:-,/
Engraving is available in either DIN 1451 or the proven Automator font, which was specially developed for industrial marking.
High-quality material for maximum service life
The steel types are made from 90MnCrV8 (1.2842) tool steel. They are then:
- hardened to approx. 60–62 HRC
- precision ground on all sides
- nickel-plated to protect against corrosion
The tight manufacturing tolerance of +0 / −0.02 mm guarantees consistently high embossing quality.
Block types and custom-made products
On request, we also manufacture block types that contain several frequently used character combinations. This significantly reduces set-up times. In addition, logos, special characters and individual engravings can also be easily realised.
