It is controlled and programmed using a 4000 series touchscreen controller. This very lightweight and ergonomic portable dot peen marking machine was specially developed to bring together the flexibility and advantages of dot marking technology in a portable and easy-to-use machine. It is thus ideal for applications where it is advantageous to transport the marking machine to the workpiece instead of moving the workpiece to the marking machine. The 50 x 25 mm marking area fulfils most requirements for the relevant marking application. Due to the electric solenoid and programmable punching force, the PortaDot 50 x 25 is suitable for marking materials up to a hardness level of 62 HRc (800Hv). The design of the threaded spindle drive for the marking head guarantees unbeatable marking precision in comparison to other portable dot peen marking machines, which also means that it delivers an unbeatable marking quality. This is particularly advantageous for dot matrix applications. Another advantage of the PortaDot 50 x 25 is the system's electric drive. No compressed air is required – which also means that the machine is significantly quieter than systems operated using compressed air. The patented, lightweight aluminium marking head is protected by a hard polymer housing, which is resistant to breakage for most falls from a height of around 1 m. Due to its low weight of around 2 kg, the marking head on the PortaDot 50 x 25 prevents user tiredness and thus increases productivity. An optional accessory is a stand with a manually adjustable Z-axis that allows the machine to be quickly transformed into a bench machine so that smaller workpieces can also be easily marked.
