It is controlled and programmed using a 4000 series touchscreen controller. This ergonomic and well-balanced portable dot peen marking machine weighing just 5 kg was specially developed to bring together the flexibility and advantages of dot marking technology in a portable and easy-to-use machine. It is thus ideal for applications where it is advantageous to transport the marking machine to the workpiece instead of moving the workpiece to the marking machine. In particular, the 130 x 30 mm marking area is able to handle longer alphanumeric character strings with larger font heights, such as for the marking of chassis numbers (VIN). Due to the electric solenoid and programmable punching force, the PortaDot 130 x 30 is suitable for marking materials up to a hardness level of 62 HRc (800Hv). The ball screw linear guides ensure the greatest possible marking precision and thus a uniform marking depth across the whole marking area. The two stationary X and Y-motors ensure high acceleration and speed. This is particularly advantageous for dot matrix applications. To ensure that the marking area is clearly visible, the marking head is equipped with LED lighting that switches on automatically thanks to a motion sensor. Another advantage of the PortaDot 130 x 30 is the system's electric drive. No compressed air is required – which also means that the machine is significantly quieter than systems operated using compressed air. In order to ensure that round workpieces can also be optimally marked, V-shaped grooves have been integrated into the face plate. An optionally available electromagnetic tensioning device prevents the marking head from slipping. Another optional accessory is a stand with a manually adjustable Z-axis that allows the machine to be quickly transformed into a bench machine so that smaller workpieces can also be easily marked. Other versions of the machine are also available. The marking head can be fitted with a pneumatic deep marking system in the DP version, while a pneumatic needle drive increases the marking speed in the FP version.

There are two possible control options: 1. 4000 series touchscreen controller (as a stand-mounted controller or integrated controller) 2. PC software with traceability features (traceability & camera systems) The type of controller is dependent on the relevant area of application for the dot peen marking machine. If the machines are used as stand-alone machines (BenchDot & PortaDot), a 4000 series stationary controller is normally used. In the case of machines that are integrated into production plants, a better solution is the 4000 series integrated controller or, depending on the type of application, no controller is used and the dot peen marking machine is controlled using PC software instead. Touchscreen controller: The 4000 series touchscreen controller has a generously sized 10.4” touchscreen display. The user can easily navigate through the menus thanks to the clearly designed menu structure for the control elements and also has access to a screen keyboard. Short video tutorials on the various themes are quickly available to provide assistance. 40 lines and a maximum of 100 characters per line can be used to create a layout for various different markings: real text, data matrix codes, real times, real dates, serial numbers and logos in straight, curved and angled forms. (Please refer to the relevant page for each machine for more information on the font types and heights.) Every line can be individually adapted and can contain different line content, which can then also be linked together again to generate e.g. a data matrix code. Logos available in the form of a plotter file (.plt) can be easily loaded onto the controller via a USB stick. The size of the logo is then adapted to the specific requirements of the individual layout. We would be delighted to assist you in creating your logo. In addition, the controllers have various pluggable I/O modules (optional). The stand-mounted controller from the 4000 series supports up to 2 I/O modules. A total of 16 inputs / 12 outputs. The integrated controller from the 4000 series supports up to 4 I/O modules. A total of 32 inputs / 24 outputs. MARKTRONIC 4000 CONTROLLER PC software: The Windows software, which has adopted many features from Microsoft Office and is thus very user-friendly, enables users to handle more complex applications. Traceability software: Traceability software from Röltgen enables manufacturers to log all of the scanned workpieces and link them in assemblies. The software is ideal for tracing individual components in large assemblies so that product recalls and the tracing of product defects can be carried out in a quick, efficient and cost-effective manner. The software offers a quick solution for critical faults by enabling a product with an Kontroller 4000 Kontroller IN 4000 Subject to design modifications. 09-19

In order to follow articles throughout their entire life cycle, manufacturers use two dimensional (2D) codes which are marked directly on the articles themselves, allowing them to be tracked during and after production. This process is known as DPMI (direct part mark identification). Being able to track parts can contribute to improvements in quality as it allows manufacturers to ensure that the right processing steps are happening in the right order. DPMI is key to efforts to recognise faults and reduce defects. Not only does DPMI avoid the element of human error involved in the manual entry of part numbers during production, it also facilitates and simplifies the filing of data for safety, liability and warranty matters. It eases compliance with legal regulations which require that articles which are at high risk of theft or counterfeiting be easily identifiable. However, if a part is to be identifiable throughout its entire life, the code must be equally durable. The mark's required durability is, however, relative given that the individual industries have their own rules when it comes to setting product life cycles. Machine readable DPMI symbols are typically applied using dot marking and laser systems. The relevant considerations when selecting the method used include the required life cycle, the material, environmental factors and production volumes. The surface structure, the quantity of data to be coded, the available space and the position of the marking on the article should also be considered. Dot marking involves hitting the material surface with a marking stylus with a carbide metal tip to apply the marking. Dot marking has the advantage of not being expensive, of not requiring any consumables and of creating very durable, heat resistant marks. Dot marking is often used in the automotive, aviation and space industry due to the high life cycle requirements in these sectors. Laser engraving creates markings by melting the surface of the material using a laser beam. Laser engraving has a number of advantages, including high speed and great precision. It is therefore ideal for the application of small, high density (i.e. high data volume) 2D codes. You can reposition and rearrange the individual lines using the mouse. Where the mark is located on the component, a safe, red guiding laser is used to provide a preview of the label. Any Windows font in any font size may be used for marking. You can also create and mark company logos, images, bar codes or data matrix codes. Of course, we also offer the relevant reading devices for the codes. Fibre-optic laser marking systems are available in various sizes depending on the marking requirement. 10 watt, 20 watt and 50 watt systems are available. The marking area may be 60 x 60 mm, 100 x 100 mm or 150 x 150 mm in size. Marking systems are typically supplied in an enclosed cabin which can be mounted on a work bench or table. A 110 – 230 V power supply is sufficient. This robust steel cabin is laser class 1 compliant and therefore guarantees operating personnel's safety. The system has a large door on bearings, making it easy to open. In order to monitor the marking process occurring in the cabin, a large viewing panel is built into the door. Another key safety aspect is the 3x keylocked system, a feature which prevents misuse. On request, Röltgen can also integrate laser marking heads into production systems or develop special housings to meet our customers' requirements. These heads are then equipped with a 19 inch wide controller and are able to mark completely autonomously. Furthermore, there is a transportable laser marking device. However for safety reasons, it can only be operated as a class 4 laser if it is provided with suitable protective equipment. With a radius of 3 m, it is also possible to mark very large components. laser marking system closed and open laser sample laser head MarkMaster Windows-Software Technical data: Optional accessories available: l dividing head for marking circum- ferences l automatic, digital z-axis l suction l digital I/O interface l automatic door opening l data matrix reading devices and software l turntable l sign magazine Type 19140102 19140202 19140252 19140502 power 10 watt 20 watt 20 watt pro 50 watt marking area 100 x 100 mm or 150 x 150 mm pulse length at 20 kHz 100 ns 100 ns 4, 8, 14, 20, 120 ns 30, 50, 100 and 200 ns temperature range 0° – 42° C cooling active air cooling operational lifespan approx. 50,000 hours power consumption less than 200 watts power supply 110 or 230 V

This means that almost all materials can be processed, even those that are transparent to the laser wavelength. Another advantage of the ultrashort duration of the laser pulses is that the material ablation is not based on the generation of heat as is the case with standard fibre lasers. This is why picosecond lasers are used for all laser processing jobs where damage due to melting or any discolouration due to heat input is undesirable. A disadvantage of conventional marking of stainless steel using a fibre laser is that the surface gleams at certain viewing angles and the marking is barely recognisable as a result. In addition, the processed area tends to corrode. The strength of the material is also negatively impacted due to the thermal load placed on it during the marking process. This can result in warpage in the case of thin-walled sheet metal. In the marking of data matrix codes, in particular, these characteristics mean that the legibility of the code suffers. In contrast, the marking of stainless steel with a picosecond laser relies on a different process. The surface is still black but without the disadvantages described above. And the high-contrast laser marking can be read from all viewing angles. There is also no susceptibility to corrosion. The strength of the workpiece is not negatively impacted and the material can thus be marked without causing any warpage. The complete mechanism is hidden behind the covering rack. The pneumohydraulic cylinders in this stamping press exploit the advantages of air and oil. The use of air, a fast medium, means that the distance between the zero point and the workpiece can be covered quickly. Given that air at high loads is not very protective of either marking tool or workpiece, once a force of a few Newtons is reached, the system switches over to oil and marks the label onto the workpiece powerfully but gently. The unusual design of this modern press was not developed solely to be aesthetically pleasing - it has other advantages, too. The shape allows for a larger immersion depth which means that it can be used to mark larger workpieces. 1 power cylinder (40 kN to 500 kN) 2 compressed air connection (Festo KSS 6 connector) 3 manual on/off valve (lockable) 4 filter regulator valve with water trap and manometer (pneumatic) 5 tool holder (standard holder for stamping tools: 40 kN: Ø 15H9 mm x 30 mm, 80 kN and 140 kN: Ø 20H9 mm x 40 mm, 300 kN and 500 kN: Ø 30H9 mm x 40 mm) 6 t-groove table to hold tool 7 two hand safety control buttons 8 emergency off button with key unlock 9 "control on / off" switch 10 hydraulic manometer 11 counter 12 hydraulic switch 13 housing (removable) Subject to change. 05-14

The modular construction and the wide range of accessories mean that we can tailor our knee lever presses to your precise needs. The low-bend cast steel frame is available in 3 versions. Press forces of 2,5 - 25 kN. Advantages of knee lever presses Like those of all other knee lever press manufacturers, our presses are also classified as manual knee lever presses. They take advantage of the so-called knee lift effect. This refers to the operator being able to apply a very high force to the lever using an outstretched knee, while the preceding movements can be performed with a low force and consequently at a relatively higher rate. This allows a high manual work rate to be achieved using low expenditure of energy. Consequently your operating personnel's physical work capability is greatly multiplied and that also with an ergonomic work station. We are happy to manufacture customised, suitable tools for you. The knee lever hand press is available in three versions: 1. standard design "S" 2. increased work height "L" (340 - 415 mm instead of 200 - 220 mm) 3. increased load "W" (300 mm instead of 90 - 105 mm) When ordering, please state which type you would like. This kind of work is still carried out by hand in some cases. The use of a hammer spring impact press enables these processes to be completed in a modern and efficient manner. Operating method: A certain level of force is required to carry out the described processes. This is generated in these impact presses by a spring and a striking pin. The spring- loaded hammer is compressed to a certain point and then released based on the specific requirements. The striking pin then transfers this force to the clamped tool. Considerable forces are created due to the speed of the impact. By adjusting the tension of the spring, the force of the impact can be steplessly adjusted. The manual force required is minimal because the hand-operated lever is only used to carry out the loading and clamping process. The effective working force is achieved due to the special design of the hammer spring impact press. The hammer spring impact presses are available in three different versions. Each of them is delivered with different tensioning springs that enable the stepless adjustment of the impact force directly on the press.
