Many steels are not suitable for the pharmaceutical and food industries. Reasons for this are the frequent contact of some foodstuffs with the steel the cleaning of the machines. This can lead to rust and thus also to contamination of the food and medicines. However, this problem can be avoided by using the right material.
After all, no labelling is no solution either. For it is precisely in these industries that the labelling of packaging is particularly important: batch numbers for tracing the goods, as well as information about the shelf life of our food and medicines. In the butchery industry, sausage packaging is held together with a clip at each end of the sausage. During the packaging process, the clips are directly marked when pressed together.
Röltgen’s stainless steel types are particularly suitable for this process. Manufactured and tested in-house, Röltgen GmbH & Co. KG has repeatedly hosed down the stainless steel types with hot salt water and allowed them to air-dry after completion. The stainless steel types were also soaked in salt water for weeks. This allowed us to test whether the Röltgen stainless steel types could withstand the frequent cleaning of the meat processing machines. We are already successfully selling specially manufactured types for various machines in the pharmaceutical and food industries.
